I have had an interest in film and video production for as long as I can remember. I was making movies before I was a teenager with my childhood friends. We would make three and a half minute silent films with an 8mm movie camera. Telling a story without dialogue made me appreciate the silent movie makers. I always enjoyed learning, but I didn't always enjoy school. I was capable of making better grades in school, but I sometimes had more fun reading about things I wanted to read about instead of what my teachers assigned. That has turned out to help me relate to some of the students I deal with today. The last twenty years have been busy. I spent the 1980s and 1990s writing and producing local television commercials and doing voice-over work for many productions. From the late 1990s through 2008 I was busy producing accredited continuing education programming for healthcare professionals, fire and emergency workers, and law enforcement personnel. In 2008, I decided to utilize the knowledge and experience I have gained in television production and share it with high school students. I would like to help them move into careers that they can enjoy as much as I have enjoyed mine.
